For our headquarters in Munich we are looking for an experienced Chief Operating Officer (m/f/d) to join our team as soon as possible.

We are a healthtech startup in the mental health space. We are backed by one of the leading family-owned providers for psychosomatic care in Bavaria and are born out of the idea that digital services are key to tackling one of society’s biggest problems: Our mental wellbeing. That’s why we are building a next-generation multisided eMental Health platform that is designed to 1) accompany patients during their recovery and 2) support therapists in caring for their patients in the most effective and efficient way. 
 
Our team in Munich is looking for a COO with a proven track record in building and scaling user-centric applications in highly regulated environments. You will report directly to the CEO and become a key and trusted part of our business before we enter the market in 2021. Responsibilities

  • Together with our CEO, CPO and CTO, you recruit, build and develop a passionate team and define relevant processes regarding risk-, quality- and compliance management
  • You are overall responsible for the requirements engineering, technical realization of the product and have a strong background in building scalable infrastructures in data privacy-sensitive industries (e.g. healthcare, banking, insurance)
  • You are responsible for owning all regulatory topics from end-to-end, ensuring sustained market access for our digital products
  • This includes certification of our digital products according to MDD and MDR, installing a QMS system designed to combine agile development with proper documentation as well as security of our medical devices and finally certification by other regulatory authorities in the German healthcare system
  • In addition, you support our CEO with implementing key growth initiatives to ensure the success of the business as a whole, in particular as it relates to our product and development teams

Qualifications

  • You have at least 5 years of leadership experience in a tech company with a strong focus on building digital B2C and/or B2B software products
  • You have worked on bringing innovation to highly regulated environments (e.g. insurtech, fintech, etc.) and you don’t shy away from getting deeply familiar with regulatory aspects to change the system for the better
  • In an ideal world, you have been part of a healthtech founding team before and have a deep understanding of technical and regulatory requirements of a medical device software
  • You are passionate about using digital technologies to create a positive impact in the world
  • You have a deep understanding of agile development even if you will not manage our development process on a day-to-day basis
  • You have a strong business sense and are an ideal sparring partner for our CEO on how to grow the business faster
  • You are highly analytical and know how to communicate to different target audiences
  • You are an experienced leader who builds a collaborative and enjoyable team environment
  • German skills are helpful but not a must, since we are an international team
